Set up in 2001, the Dot NAME TLD is the single TLD supposed to be for personal web pages only. These domains can consist of personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other labels people are famous by. Initially, solely third-level registrations were possible, so if you wanted to register john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already bought third-level domain names remained working.

You will have the chance to alter the WHOIS contacts, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already purchased domain to our company if you acquire its EPP transfer authorization key from the current registrar firm and we will renew it once the transfer has been finalized. There are no special prerequisites on who can get a dot NAME domain name, but in order to maintain the objective behind its establishment alive, the dot NAME Registry may verify who the Registrant is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain, the registration might be challenged.
